PETER HARVEY PRODUCTIONS INC is an independent production company that strives to be one of the leaders in Canadian storytelling.
PETER HARVEY, the president and leading producer in the company, had early success in the film industry as his first directorial debut, VERSUS played in the Toronto International Film Festival’s Student Film Showcase. Shortly after graduating from Capilano University’s Motion Picture Production Program, he moved to Toronto to pursue his career in film, where he currently lives and works as a Producer.
After the move, Peter started in the industry as a Production Manager and Line Producer where he was able to work with some of Canada’s most promising young directors and producers to gain valuable knowledge while working with them to make amazing films - Ed Gass-Donnelly’s SMALL TOWN MURDER SONGS, Chris McBride’s THE CONSPIRACY, Richie Mehta’s I’LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN, and Jason Priestley's CAS & DYLAN to name a few.
PETER HARVEY FILMS was born with his first feature film that he produced, PICTURE DAY and soon transgressed into his currently company PETER HARVEY PRODUCTIONS INC from where Peter currently produces from. PICTURE DAY, where he got to work alongside veteran producer Danny Iron, went on to premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and won the Borsos Competition for Best Film and Best Performance at the Whistler Film Festival for lead actress Tatiana Maslany.
His second feature PRETEND WE’RE KISSING, which stars Dov Tiefenbach, Tommie-Amber Pirie and rising star Zoe Kravitz, came out in theatres in the Summer of 2015 and will be available globally on VOD January, 2016.
